Very raw 2nd version of outstanding text editor, but without syntax highlighting. Certain functions might not work at all. Though it supports a bunch of encodings as well as auto-detection. This app, written on Qt, can load unlimited file size; and, moreover, has good search engine, supports line numbering, etc.
